The Hunger Games.

Well, I love watching movies, with my family watch movies every Saturday night, so I have a long list of movies that I really like. Mmm, one of the best films I've seen is The Hunger Games. I watched this movie for the first time in my house, a Saturday night with my family a few months ago. The principal actor stars in it are Jennifer Lawrence like Katniss, Josh Hutcherson like Peeta , Liam Hemswoth like Gale.  This film belongs to the genre of science fiction and adventure, above all to young people.
The Hunger Games takes place in a nation known as Panem, the nation consists of the wealthy Capitol and twelve surrounding, poorer districts united under the Capitol's control. District 12, where the book begins, is located in the coal-rich region that was formerly known as Appalachia. As punishment for a past rebellion against the Capitol, in which a 13th district was destroyed, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district are selected by an annual lottery to participate in the Hunger Games, an event in which the participants (or "tributes") must fight to the death in an outdoor arena controlled by the Capitol, until only one individual remains.
I really enjoyed this film because makes me think about the society and how these works and models the mind of the people. The society of Panem is horrible, but I want to understand it.

The best present!

Hello, Today I am going to write about my best present received, well it´s something difficult to decide.  Anyway, is not something material,  my best present received was visiting  my family from Concepción two years ago. One day, in the summer, when my father came to home , he asked if we want to travel and before we can respond, He gave us the one way tickets!. Well, this present was the best and I loved it because I was not meet with my family ( grandparents, cousins, etc.) for a long time and I really missed them. When we came to Santiago to live, 10 year ago, we had limited economic resources so, the idea of travel to everywhere was not likely.  So , when we traveled, we were very happy and excited, all my family to!.
Now the ticket are lost, I do not when I put that ticket, but  I think that the most important thing is not the paper,  the most important thing is the feeling, see your family  after so long time is something beautiful and always I am waiting  the summer, to see and have a good time with my family.  Now I haven’t more tickets, because we not travel in bus anymore, we travel in my dad’s car .

:)

Hello to everyone, well finally this is the last post of semester! I am very happy because I really hate  write, read and speak English, only I love listen it, specially  in songs and subtitles of movies. So, I hate English, but the reason is because I am very shy, and always when I have to use and practice english, I am very nervious and forget conjugate verbs and speak well.

In the school English was a funny and easy subject, because I knew my classmates and teacher since 5 years. But in the university is more difficult to me, because I dont know anybody like my classmates and friends. All the same, was nice have this subject, because was a way to relax and laugh. Write the blogs was laborious because is difficult to me stay focused for a long time, also I am very bad to imagine topics.

The aspects of my English need to be improved is conjugate verbs and use correctly the times, before knew and used very well, but in holidays and other distractions I forgot all about that. I think that a good manner to improve that is studying again and practice the grammar rules.

Outside the English class, I do not use english so much, at least do not speak, but I listen music in english and all the movies that I watch, are in english. Also for subjects of the university, like Anthropology and archeology I have to read texts in english.

Well, the progamme is good, English is practiced in all areas ( speaking, listening, reading and writting). For people like me, shy, is very good practice, above all speaking, and in the clasess I have to do that, I speak very bad, but at least I try.

That is all!

Hi to everyone, today I am going to write about a new.
The new that I chosen have connection with my future career, that is, the Archaeology. This new it’s about the return of artefacts and treasures (stolen many years ago in the civil war) to Afghan museum since 2001. These artefacts are around 9,000, but are just a fraction of what has been stolen from Afghanistan's national museum and rich archeological sites in recent decades.  Obviously, in this process haven been participated the British Museum, UK police, people of the government and donors. This entire people are helping to returned some of the artefacts to Afghanistan
Some of the artefacts were found in private collections and bought back by donors. One case is, for example, a second –century schist Buddha, the statue was part of the museum’s collection, but disappeared in the early 1990s the bulding was on the frontline between warring factions who repeatedly raided its storerooms. The statue endend up with a Japanese collector, who refused to returned and send it in contraband, but an anonymous British used his own money to buy it and return it. In general, the objects recover and registered are ivory pieces, the Buddha statue and some bronze pieces very old.
To Afghanistan is very important recover this objects, because these pieces are the testament to the incredibly rich cultural history, are symbols that the people have to safe.
I choose this new because speak about the problems and responsibilities that Archaeology must to resolve today.

Hi everybody! I have been missing in the last time but I´m back! Well, this time I am going to write about  a great Chilean: Clotario Blest.
Clotario was a union leader, founder of several organizations, including the “Agrupación Nacional de Empleados Fiscales (ANEF), the Central Única de Trabajadores(CUT) and the Movimiento de  Izquierda  Revolucionaria (MIR). He borned November 17, 1899, his parents were Ricardo Blest and Leopoldina Riffo, when Clotario was a boy, his father died and Leopoldina had to work as a primary school teacher, growing in the misery.
Him in his youth studied teology and entered to Seminario Pontificio Mayor so it was a great believer in God, but never had a religious vocation, so he left the Seminario P. Mayor.  Clotario started to social activities when he met Emilio Recabarren,  he was very worried about the situation in his country, consciousness created by his childhood and youth in poverty, so he always tried to raise awareness and seek solutions, provided by the hand of God and religion.
One of the most important activities of Clotario, what I said before, the foundation of ANEF, MIR and CUT, in addition to the foundation of Comité de los “ Sin casa”, but I think the important thing was the creation and the fight for a fairer Chile, thought of the dispossessed, being always consistent with their ideals and actions.
If I have the opportunity of ask or tell him something, I don’t know what, I have a lot of things in my head!!

Well how I said before I am a shy person so make friends is really hard to me. For this reason, I love my friends and I do not know what I do without them. Well I have two best friends, they are my machos: Santiago and Diego, and of course my best friend ever Melissa, my only friend woman. I meet them in the school, since eight grade. When I think about that, always laugh because I really hated Diego and now he is a one of my best friends.
We have much in common, we love talk, walk and laugh a lot every time, but  I think  that especial  part or the most important part of us friendship  is that we have different personalities and we can complement us. We are in different universities, for that every weekend we and other friends: Alfredo, Pablo, Sergio and Javier (they are twins), Daniela (not me), Nicolás, Jorge, Felipe and Sebastián. Usually we play games, talk a lot, and eat fast food. Now, about my friend Melissa, I usually go to her house to sleep (well I don’t sleep anything) and we can talk every night. I love my friends although be angry with one of my best friends right now.

Uyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuui!

I am very lazy and love meet with my friends and family, especially when they are very important to me. So, the perfect months of the year are January, February, September and December, when we have holidays.
My best “dieciocho” was when I could travel to Concepción with all my family two years ago. I have been waiting for a long time to meet with my family (only us are living in Santiago right now, all the rest are living in Concepción). So, my uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents and friends were in the house of my uncle Alvaro. The first day, we were played typical games like: gymkhana, carreras de saco, emboque, trompo, that was in the morning. After in the afternoon we ate a lot, especially empanadas and pastel de choclo. Also, my cousins dance cueca and Tirana (I am not very sure, but think was diablada, anyway) they danced very nice!
In the night we watched a lot of movies, especially of action and fiction (old movies) like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, El padrino, etc. Well, my parents and grandparents really enjoyed, but we, the young people not much, so when they were watching movies, me and my cousins started to play with Sasha (the dog of the house, a really nice pet). Really, I love the national holidays of last year!! I hope comeback soon.
